NBSS offers workshops and short-term courses in bookbinding, calligraphy, jewelry and metals, carpentry and home repair, woodworking (hand and machine), musical instruments and locksmithing. Unless otherwise noted in the course description, all workshops accommodate beginner to advanced students. The student/teacher ratio rarely exceeds ten to one.

Furniture Design Certificate Program
. Students who enroll in this program benefit from the unique expertise, faculty and equipment at both institutions.
NBSS partners with several local middle schools and high schools to provide workshops to students during the school day and after school.
North Bennet Street School workshops are taught by accomplished professionals and master craftspeople, including many who are graduates of NBSS full-time programs. Lectures, demonstrations, and bench exercises are combined to provide students with a range of information and practical experience. Please visit our instructor bio page for more information.
Workshops are held year round at the new facility at 150 North Street. Class hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm for most daytime classes, and 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm for evening classes.
